InterLocking Software’s Featured System is
implemented in the
City of Tulare, CA
Poulsbo, WA, July 10, 2007 – InterLocking Software
has begun the implementation of the popular Permitting-in-a-Box
system in Tulare, California. The system, operational at the end of
July, will provide permitting solutions for various departments of
the City of Tulare
“We are excited about working with InterLocking
Software and seeing the benefits of our new system. Not only
will we be able to track all permits from the acceptance stage
through certificate of occupancy and automatically calculate
fees, but the citizens will be able too as well with the public
portal. This system is much more advanced than our former manual
processes.”

including Planning, Fire, Code Enforcement, and
Engineering. Additional access for Administration, Finance, and
Public Works will be added as the system becomes readily available
for use.
The permitting system will replace legacy Microsoft Access systems
and enable departments to combine resources, allowing a single
repository to service all permit and licensing functions. This
system will also replace Tulare’s former paper-based processes,
providing the City with efficient, reliable and easy to use
functionality. Permitting-in-a-Box gives the City of Tulare the
added functionality of downloading daily inspections via any laptop
PC or tablet PC and generating activity.

Planning and Building Director.
InterLocking was awarded the Tulare contract in March; its first
major contract in California, amid fierce competition from local and
nationally known competitors. The final go-live date of the system
at the end of July is equally important. Not only will Tulare begin
to benefit from the new system, but the successful implementation of
the Tulare project will open the door to the highly competitive
California market for InterLocking Software.
