InterLocking Software Wins Contract with
City of Fife, WA
Seattle, WA, December 22, 2004 -
InterLocking Software announced that the city of Fife has selected
InterLocking’s permit software product as the city’s permit processing
solution. InterLocking was awarded the contract after a nine-month
selection process, beating out four other vendors to supply Fife with a
permitting solution.
“We are excited about working with InterLocking Software,” said Steve
Worthington, Director of Community Development for Fife. “Not only did
they provide the best product with the best pricing – they demonstrated
the highest level of professionalism and service through the entire
selection process. We’re sure that will continue during the
implementation and training stages and well into the future.”
Fife’s Community Development Department and Planning and Engineering
divisions will utilize the system to manage all permit-related functions
with the system’s secure, Web-based interface, including processing
permit applications, scheduling inspections, updating inspection
statuses, collecting fees, and issuing permits. The system also allows
residents of Fife to apply for permits and track pending permits online
via a public-access Web portal that is tied to the city’s internal
system.
“Fife was looking for a new permitting solution as part of the city’s
ongoing strategy to increase efficiencies and reduce operating costs,”
said Tom Hickey, vice president of sales and marketing for InterLocking.
“Other cities that are already using the permitting system have seen
reductions in permit processing time of up to 64 percent -- a huge
resource and cost savings. We’re confident that Fife is going to
experience the same success.”
InterLocking and Fife are currently working together to get the software
implemented in the city’s offices, and they anticipate that the city
will be “live” on the software by the end of December.
