Coconino County, Arizona, Selects InterLocking
Software’s Permit and Licensing Systems
Seattle, WA, January 26, 2005
– InterLocking Software, a provider of Web-based solutions for
integrating information and improving the way government enterprises
operate, announced today that Coconino County, Arizona, has selected the
company’s Permit and Licensing Systems for use in the county’s Community
Development, Public Works, and Health departments. The secure, Web-based
systems will allow county employees to automate permitting and licensing
processes, including code enforcement, as well as to integrate
cashiering across multiple departments. County inspectors will also be
using InterLocking’s portable field inspection tool to streamline the
county’s inspection process.
The selection of InterLocking, and approval by the Board, culminates
an evaluation and planning effort that has been ongoing for many years
within the county,” said Larry Dannenfeldt, director of information
technology for Coconino County. “Improved operational efficiency,
reporting capability, and enhanced public service are anticipated
outcomes from this new system.”
“Obviously we’re very pleased that Coconino has chosen our system,” said
Tom Hickey, vice president of sales and marketing for InterLocking
Software. “We’ve spent the last 10 months working with the county to
evaluate their business processes and we’re looking forward to this
continued relationship with them.”
An implementation team comprised of county staff and InterLocking
professional services will work for the next four months to customize
the software to work most efficiently with Coconino County's business
processes, convert existing data from the various systems used today,
and train county staff in the use of the new system. The system is
expected to be up and running by Memorial Day.
