Buckeye, Arizona, Goes Live with InterLocking’s Permitting-in-a-Box
Seattle, WA, December 21, 2005 –
InterLocking Software announced today that Buckeye, Arizona, has
successfully implemented the company’s Permitting-in-a-Box
all-in-one system, replacing the town’s existing permit processing
system. The town is now using Permitting-in-a-Box to manage the
review and approval of all building permit activity. Buckeye has
also chosen to adopt InterLocking’s portable field inspection
device, which enables building and compliance inspectors to access
and enter information into the system directly from field computers;
as well as the public Web portal component, giving members of the
public the ability to view up-to-date status information on their
applications.
"Buckeye is on the verge of explosive growth, and our original,
permitting system was no longer sufficient," said Dee Hathaway, IT
director for the town of Buckeye. "We originally chose InterLocking’s
Permitting-in-a-Box system because it offered all the functionality we
were looking for at an exceptional price. Now that we’re up and running,
we’re looking forward to a more efficient permitting approval process."
Permitting-in-a-Box is a relatively new offering from InterLocking
Software. It provides the same features and functionality as the
company’s enterprise-level Permitting system but is designed to meet the
needs of smaller jurisdictions, such as Buckeye, which are experiencing
a surge in growth and require an effective permit processing system to
be put in place immediately and cost-effectively. Permitting-in-a-Box
includes all the necessary computer hardware required to run the
application, and each Permitting-in-a-Box system is custom configured
for the client before being implemented at the client site, so cities
and counties can get up and running very quickly.
