InterLocking’s Permitting-in-a-Box is feature rich application like the
company’s enterprise-level Permit and Licensing system, but is designed
to meet the needs of smaller jurisdictions that are in need of a
permitting and licensing solution. Permitting-in-a-Box will enable the
clients to process their permits and inspection requests quickly and
effectively, increasing work production and simplifying the process of
issuing permits and licenses. With Permitting-in-a-Box, each system is
custom configured for each client’s specific needs before the software
is implemented at the client site. This enables a city or county to
quickly begin using the system with little or no down time and with a
cost benefit solution for their needs. Lita Dawn Stanton from the City
of Gig Harbor said “The system has improved interdepartmental
communications, processing consistency department-wide and the ability
for real-time networking of information.”
Although InterLocking software is becoming nationally known, the company
is also keeping its product close to home and meeting the needs of local
communities. A number of cities in Washington State have chosen
InterLocking software for its business needs. “It’s great to add yet
another city in our local area to our growing number of clients,” said
InterLocking software’s CEO Jim Nall. “We are very excited to have been
chosen by Gig Harbor to provide them with a complete permitting software
solution.”
Port Townsend, who has also realized the potential of the
Permitting-in-a-Box system, is another Washington State client. "We're
happy with the support from InterLocking. Any time we have a question,
someone gets back to us right away. That's terrific and very much
appreciated,” says Penny Westerfield, a Permit Technician with the City
of Port Townsend.
According to Robert Johnston, Interlocking Chief Operating Officer,
“Following the successful implementation at Coconino County, Arizona, it
is very gratifying to receive the contract award in Lyon County, Nevada.
It’s a tribute to the permitting products’ flexibility and
configurability that it works so well in jurisdictions with such diverse
business requirements.”
Other clients in Washington State include Kitsap County, University
Place, the City of Fife, and the City of Ridgefield.
